The Inevitability of Change

"The only thing that is constant is change." Heraclitus

Happy New Year! While many of you may be making healthy and prosperous resolutions this January, new notary laws are taking effect as well. One of them is the new verbiage on notarial certificates in Florida related to newly passed laws regarding Remote Online Notarization.

This brings to mind the verbiage change mandated in the State of California in 2015. It was a good year before everyone doing business in California had updated the verbiage on documents, including loan documents. What did enterprising notaries do during that period? They bought a stamp with the new verbiage, designed to fit in the required area of the certificate on existing documents! As a Florida notary, I have done the same thing this time. Many states charge to record documents based on the number of pages in the document; this option eliminates the need for additional loose certificates on recorded documents.

Florida notaries, this stamp is one of the many resources available to notaries in all states on our supplies page. Don't let change hold you back from making 2020 your best year so far!
